Employment Application

We are accepting applications at this time.

Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and not older than 39 years of age.

Applicants must also possess a High School Diploma or equivalent, a valid Indiana Driver's License, must pass a criminal background check, and pass a physical agility test and written test.

Application packets may be picked up at the Columbia City Police Communications Department, 112 S. Chauncey St, or obtained on the department website Applications and Forms page at columbiacitypolice.us.

Physical Agility Standards

Each applicant will be required to perform, at a minimum, the following standards:

Vertical Jump - 16 Inches

One Minute Sit-ups – 29

300 Meter Run - 71 Seconds

Maximum Push-ups – 25

1.5 Mile Run - 16 Minutes 28 Seconds

Each applicant will be required to perform an obstacle course including by not limited to a dummy drag and vehicle push.
